If you open any fashion / celebrity magazine, you cannot look past the fact that most of their pictures have been photoshopped to or close to perfection. Blemishes, moles, wrinkles, even excess weight have been erased and disguised by the master of all virtual beautifiers: Adobe Photoshop.
Photoshop can be a mostly powerful tool if you know how to use it. Anyway, all ethics about digital beauty aside, some effects are just simply amazing and we could all use some Photoshop in our lives.
Fortunately the Internet offers plenty of tutorials, guides and how-tos to use Photoshop for each and every purpose. Reality is the limit.
Anyway, here’s some I have found to be rather interesting and useful:
Quick and effective facial photo retouching - [PSDTuts]

You’re probably thinking there’s not much difference between the before and after picture… I like this fairly easy and quick tutorial because it doesn’t look photoshopped yet it enhances the face. It still looks natural and un-edited. Btw, PSDTuts is a site to watch for great Photoshop tutorials.
Easiest way to change eye colour [PictureSocial]
This is a video tutorial showing you how to change someone’s eye colour with a little help from Photoshop. YouTube is a great source for finding video tutorials and demonstrations… on that note; if you haven’t seen Dove’s brilliant Evolution video, you should!
Create a shiny header in Photoshop [OriginMaker]

This is pretty neat… a nice, professional looking header.
Memorable Sepia [TutorialPulse]

As demonstrated in this tutorial, the Sepia effect works amazingly well on wedding pictures, or any other photos that could do with a bit of aging and classy touch… very nicely done I think.
Smooth and sharp skin - part 1 [PhotoshopTalent]

This is another quick “fix” which looks really good but not artificial. Gives a nice retouch to pictures and voila - magazine ready! It just shows that brightness can certainly transform a picture.
