“23andMe introduces the first personal gnome testing service” 23andMe.com is a web based service (co-founded by Sergey Brin’s wife) to give you a profile of your DNA. This is quite intriguing really and I would be eager to try it myself. Before we get to the $ part… here’s how it works:
Receive your Spit Kit
In order to analyse anyone’s DNA, a saliva sample has to be sent in. You get this home-diy spit kit and send it back with your sample.
After receiving your sample, lab professionals extract DNA from cells in your saliva. Then the whole Gnome processing and analyses begins.
Once this is done you can take a look at your DNA. With your login data you access their database and explore your Gnome.
Price per Kit: $999.00 USD - excluding shipping.
