Remember Google’s promised commitment to solar energy? Well they have launched the largest solar panel installation to date on a corporate campus in the US. Having covered eight rooftops of eight buildings with solar panels, Google has now gone completely black for day in Israel. Nothing spectacular really. (Blackle) Only the main page was blackified, search results showed up on white background again.
The whole event was in honor of Earth Hour, a global movement to turn off the lights for one hour across the world at a specific date and time.
I don’t know about you, but I think Google in black looks fantastic! I have to admit though, that I’d rather ask the white than the black, even though it’s pretty. It’s just one of those colour preferences I guess. Goths might love it!
