Have you already heard of the new Microsoft web service, Live Mesh? Designed to connect multiple devices and applications online, this is probably one of Microsoft’s smartest moves.
“In the cloud” everything runs better and more smoothly for a lot of people. Since I agree with anyone who says that this is the future way to go, some people shudder at the thought of completely relying on the Internet/web services to hold and process all of your information.
People work offline for various reasons. However, I think web applications and services such as Google are pioneers.
With this new release, Microsoft seems to have changed it’s attitude towards the use of Windows tied to the web.
I must say, despite improvements, I still hate Hotmail and Outlook. Live Mesh however, looks promising.
Microsoft says Live Mesh can be used to create an online network of devices, from your PC to your mobile phone.
Files and folders, such as documents, music and photos, on those devices can be synchronised online and accessed via a web browser.
Live Mesh is also designed to facilitate the sharing of media online between different users.
