To be honest, I have completely missed the development of Google’s mobile platform Android. Apparently Android is getting it’s very own Apps store?
To elaborate a little more, “Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware and key applications. This beta version of the Android SDK provides the tools and APIs necessary to begin developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language.”
I’m quite excited to see what Google will make of this project and whether it will actually prove to be a success. Mind you, with a giant like Google behind it, it’s bound to get at least some coverage. But will it be the new iphone, or the new Firefox?? Remains to be seen.
