I cannot name a single person I know who doesn’t have a personal website or blog. The Internet has truly revolutionised the way we go about with a lot of things.
It has brought great convenience to our lives and some of us use it to the fullest. From online banking to online dating. I believe there’s nothing, or at least not a lot, that hasn’t been suckered into the word wide web.
Anyway, as the web grows, so do we. To keep track of our personal lives, our careers or our work, we choose to have pages out there in the virtual world for anyone to see.
To the tricky part: hosting.
When starting a personal site, blog or journal, there are plenty of free options people can resort to. In fact, a Google search would probably bring up countless of free services that are quick and easy to set up.
But what about your own domain?
I personally think that free Blogspot blogs for instance make great diaries and personal journals but in order to have a professional representative online that can deal with a lot of traffic and offers enough space, one should look for paid hosting.
Now, where would you find the best deals?
Of course noone wants to spend a fortune on their website. So you can either search the Internet for a host that you find appealing or save yourself a lot of time and hassle and check out a webhosting comparison/review site such as the WebHostingGeeks.com.
What I hate about similar sites is the lack of quality feedback. Most of them are simply trashy and sometimes nothing more than fake directories with paid adverts.
WebHostingGeeks on the other hand looks full of good reviews, ratings and advice.
Certainly recommended for anyone, from novice to pro.
