Space shuttle Discovery finally launched into orbit last night for its mission to the International Space Station.
It lifted off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida with seven astronauts aboard at one minute before midnight local time.
It was a third attempt to launch the shuttle after bad weather and technical problems stalled efforts earlier in the week.
