There’s been much controversy around Apple’s latest gadget, the iPad. Love it or loathe it, it’s here… well almost. The UK will have to wait another month due to the huge demand in the US. The iPad is a laptop based on the iPhone’s touch technology. A spokesman said: ‘We will announce international pricing and begin taking online preorders on Monday, May 10.’ Will you buy the iPad?

Beauty, plastic surgery, body enhancements aside; did you know that Apple is the most influential brand?
Brandchannel established this through a new survey. I’m hardly surprised. Even though Apple’s products aren’t one of a kind and no doubt, there are cheaper alternatives to ipods and iphones or MacBooks, but that doesn’t stop the world from buying Apple. Just goes to show that brands still matter I guess!?

I honestly can’t say that I have ever watched a computer explode; not even a tiny titsy bit, neither on YouTube.
As a passionate laptop user, I find this story I’ve discovered on Appletell to be a quite uncanny…especially since I’m toying with the idea of buying a MacBook Air.
No good, if there’s a chance it’ll blow up in my face’$#!
James was sitting at his desk yesterday, reading Digg, when all of a sudden he heard a loud “POP”. Immediately after this pop, sparks and flames started shooting out from his MacBook Pro, lighting his desk on fire and giving him a slight burn as he tried to put out the flames. He finally got the fire out, unplugged his MacBook Pro and pulled out the battery and gave Apple Europe a call.
Naturally, this incident got me wondering: Are Macs prone to explode? This isn’t the first case in which an Apple Computer blows itself up… and Apple was forced to issue those Powerbook battery recalls
