I’m quite amazed as to why psychotherapists have such a bad reputation of charging money for letting people jabber on about their miserable lives. Sounds kind of like a bad movie or a really bad psychotherapist. This isn’t always the case… and one should not confuse a psychotherapist with a psychiatrist! I don’t personally have any experiences with either, but I firmly believe in professional treatment where it’s absolutely necessary.
Karen J. Osterle is a psychotherapist. She provides psychotherapy for couples and individuals in the Washington, D.C. area. Looking at her Internet homepage, I’ve noticed her service include a wide range of mental problems including multicultural adjustment… pretty impressive. If you are considering psychotherapy Washington DC, she would be a good place to start looking.
What I personally like about this form of therapy is the alternative route to medication. What’s the point in medicating someone when you are not dealing with the person’s issues? One of Osterle services was anger management, which I believe, would be much better treated with psychotherapy.
